Mains Conditioner

I have been given a BT mains conditioner is this better than indvidual shielded cables on a home cinema system or would both be good.

Seriously, which model?

Would plug it in and see the difference it makes, the smaller va rating (125) doesn't have a big enough transformer to drive anything other than a CD/DVD player/tuner/PS3.

Need to make sure it has a 13A fuse in the plug as well, or it might trip out.
