Just been to my local store and they had 3 of these sets left for £649 with 2pairs of free stands , one reserved one just sold , so i had to have the last set lol . Ive never heard or seen them before but at an original price of £1300 without stands this seemed a bargain not to be missed plus the 3yr warranty included . Ive read they had a 5star review in 2008 but are they still good to this day ? I believe bigboss had these ?

I was thinking of the ma mass , q7000 or 2000i pack but read these radius are better and also upgradable in future . I got the set with the 370 sub and will be running through my yama 671 reciever which ive also read is a good match to ma as the ma are bright and the yamas are warm ?

That's a brilliant bargain!! Yes, I've got the same series, except that the fronts & centre are R225HD & rears are R90HD.

It's definitely superior to MA mass, and possibly Q acoustics as well that you're considering. Yamaha 671 is a good tonal match to these speakers, although you should aim for RX-A1020/1030 to get the best out of the speakers.

You've certainly landed yourself a bargain.

When playing music, you might like to experiment playing through all channels to bring the sub and rears into action. The R90HD's are capable but only go down to 80HZ (which is just fine for movies), so to my ear music sounds much better when engaging the sub too. My AV receiver has a setting called "Extended Stereo" - I would imagine your Yamaha has an equivalent. I then alter the fader about half way in favour of the front speakers which makes the balance more natural, like you were at a live gig, hearing echos behind you but with the bulk of the sound coming from the front.

Enjoy!
