Lp12 bearing and platter on an Axis?

Hi,

has anyone ever put a Linn Lp12 bearing and platter into a Linn Axis? Is it possible and will it work is the big question?

Doesn't look like anyone has. Why would you want to even if you could?

You'd just end up with a sort of bastardised unit that was neither here nor there.

Basically I'm finding it hard to source an axis bearing and platter where as Lp12 bearings etc are plentiful!

im surprised that no "tweekers!" Have tried it! The results could be interesting!
