Hi!

I am currently using a B&O H6. However, when I plug it into my Denon AVRX1200W.
The volume is very low.

Any recommendations on how I can 'push up' the volume?

Thanks!

Most amps should have a gain switch. Sometimes it's inside the case.

Hi!
Couldn't locate the gain switch. Tried reading the manual and playing around with the setup but to no avail.
Do I need a headphone amp or something to push up the volume?

I think quite a lot of equipment these days has the headphone socket volume limited to prevent hearing damage (think it comes from the beloved EU). My Chinese Fiio personal player goes plenty loud but my new Pioneer amp doesn't. Back to the good old days when I used to wire a socket to the speaker terminals and have the full 50 watts available. Probably why I can't tell the difference between High res files and bog standard CD now!

:) my onkyo was the same. Blame the EU. It has a high gain setting but even that isn't as much as the Fiio X5 put out.
