I am looking to upgrade my blu-ray player I currently have the Sony 350 at the moment. So I am looking for something with considerable advantages to my current player I will be hooking it up to Onkyo trsx606 reciever and kef 1005.2 speakers if that makes any difference.

Whats the budget JKL988? Probably the Sony 370 looking at your other kit.

Which TV have you got? Performance improvements may not be as apparent on a 32-inch screen than a 50-inch one.

I have a 50" Samsung plasma and I have a budget of about £100-£150 and I am not bothered about it being 3d capable as I will never venture into that area.

Sony S370 is your best option then. If you're looking for a wi-fi capable model, consider S570. Demo them in the shops before you purchase. Improvements in blu-ray picture quality may not be significant as compared to the S350 you own. But there should be improvements in DVD upscaling & disc loading time. Also, the S370 & S570 play SACDs as well.
