Hi all.
I am looking for some good Noise cancelling headphones
I tried several Monster Beats models, to much enhanced Bass
I absolutly hate things that go in the ear, so no buds recommendation please.
My music taste is most of the time in the corner of Armin van Buuren (Trance) and other styles of house. But also appreciate things like Coldplay, Birdy, Joss Stone, U2 and Linkin Park, Eminem. And sometimes classic music as well. So a load of different styles..
I read some good things about the Bose QC15. But is is at the top om my budget.
My other concern is the fact that the antinoise it seems to make ( I havent heard them myself) can annoy people. My ears are quite sensitive
I quote from a review
" Similarly, the active noise cancelling can be unsettling when it's initially switched on. It cuts out almost all lower frequency ambient noise — outside wind, the whirr of an overhead fan, air conditioning hum — and all that's left is a slight hiss. It's some of the most effective noise cancelling we've heard and we think it would be a godsend on a long-haul international plane flight. We tried wearing the QuietComfort 15 headphones for several hours with the noise cancelling enabled, and eventually became uncomfortable with it. Taking the headphones off after listening to the noise cancelling is like surfacing from holding your breath underwater. "
Furthermore I have been looking at the Audio Technika ANC 7B, some of them say it is just as good as the Bose, which I can get at half the price of the Bose.
On the other hand there is one model as the passive NC goes that I know is good
Bowers and Wilkins P5
Heard them, tried them. Nice, but i am just curious about the Bose as I know a couple of stores where I can demo them, not so fot the Audio Technica. But I think Bose is better with NC? So is for my music taste the P5 the best of both worlds or?
Also I am wondering about one thing
Are there headphones that cancel out noise just as the Bowers and Wilkins P5, What Hifi reviewed the AKG 550, how do they compare as isolation goes?
Can someone help?
