What about the sony KDL40W4000 its a great set and you could pick one up for just over £700-£750.
Got mine from sony centre for £849.99 BDPS350 sony blu ray player and 5 yrs warranty on the tv. The pics and sound from blu ray and ps3 are outstanding.
Im sure the w4500 is equally a good set but your paying more only because its 3 months newer than the w4000 and i cant see them reducing it b4 xmas.
Whatever your decision your sony choice is a good one with nearly all the sets listed in WHF are given 5 stars. Sony must of got something right! But shop around cos its a buyers market in the current climate and the shops are desperate for your cash.Maybe try haggling by saying throw in a HDMI cable/wall bracket etc.
