Hey, i'm looking for a small TV for my bedroom, say 19"-22". Budget is not really an option, i just want the best picture quality i can get.

I'm looking for it to be HD Ready; although 1080p would be nice.

Excellent picture quality in both SD (freeview) and HD images. I'm going to be watching a lot of SD TV, and also hooking it up to my PS3.

A built-in Freeview tuner.

 Any recommendations?

 Thanks,

I have had a look around, but do you know whether it has v1.3 HDMI ports?

ÿIts not the best looking thing either, picture quality is more important though 🙂. I'll have to see if i can find in store somewhere.

But surely i would get better HD picture quality using 1.3? I dont really know that much of what im talking about lol

Details on HDMI 1.3 spec can be found here (scroll down to see a table). So, potentially you're missing out on Deep Colour, xvYCC and Auto lip-sync (since you won't need to transfer Dolby TrueHD or DTS HD Master Audio to the TV). However, I'm not sure you'll find a 19" set which will have 1.3 spec HDMI sockets and even if you do, that doesn't necessarily mean it will have a better picture.

I would'nt get hung up over HDMI 1.3 on a 19" tv...go demo and but the one you think has the best picture and ignore the specs

Thanks.

The thing is, there is nowhere near me that sells the Panasonic. I may just have to risk it and get it over the net. I have had a look at other Panasonic models in the same series, they do seem like a good picture.

After a lot of research before Christmas in my search for an LCD tv for my teenage daughter, I setted on the Sharp Aquos LC19D in white. Almost was tempted by Tesco's Technik and I am glad I didn't in the end as it is a cracking small telly whch is wall mounted with a swivel bracket. Great picture, broad viewing angle and built in Freeview tuner. Including the bracket the cost was about £210. Be careful though, some retailers were looking for £220 -£230 for the set alone.
