Hi,

I am looking for a new amp which will be used primarily for playing music on.

I have a denon cd player, cambridge audio artic inter connects, and some b&w 683 speakers connected through QED ordinary biwire.

my front room listening position is about 3metres from the speakers and the total size of the room is 3m by 4m.

i am looking to spend up to 500 pounds, will go higher if absolutely neccessary. but i dont want to cut corners.

let me know what you think,

cheers,

Rob.

This should grip your speakers rather well and keep it all nice and tight...

£500 will get you into some seriously good amp territory if you aim for the used market. Have a look around some of the independent dealers secondhand kit online and see what's available. Might be you clap hands on a peach of an amp you'd otherwise not be able to achieve. Worth a look anyway and some dealers (like Billy Vee in London for instance) offer a warranty anywhere between 3 months to a year.
