Hi, recently bought a harmony 1000 remote control via price checker from Amazon, for great price of £139 incl postage..... but only problem im having,is that every time i try to delete a recorded programme on sky HD using the yellow button on touch screen.....it deletes 2-3 recorded programmes !

Tried using a stylus from an old Motorola A1000 mobile phone...but still no joy..

Has anyone else had this problem ?

Sounds like its broadcasting more than one "delete" , try adjusting your "delays" for the Sky Box in devices

I've got one of these and I had this issue on the volume adjustment on my Arcam amp (so no where near as annoying as it is for you I guess)!

There is a setting for the duration of the commands it sends in milliseconds, and you can adjust it for each device/command if i remember correctly. You need to find the 'yellow button' command on the sky box and shorten the length of the command that the remote is sending.

There is another setting for the interval between commands, so don't get mixed up with that by mistake.

Amazing device overall, and so easy to get 95% of the way there with the set-up, but I had just a few niggles and it takes a while to get it 100% of the way there!

You're right Dan but that's the fun when you think it could be better if and then you get it to work, I've only got the Harmony One but really enjoyed tweaking to get it right. The squareyes site for channel icons is great, also if an icon isn't up there let them know and it's added.

Dan turner >>>> Hi Dan, not had a chance to try it yet, but had another issue last night, when turning volume up on my Cyrus system , the volume decided to turn itself to MAX, and only way to stop it was to turn power off at pre amp ! But not sure if it was the Remote or a possible amp issue ????

Steve - not had anything like that - it could be a similar issue to the one that you had with your sky yellow button, but if the volume control on your Cyrus via the Harmony was working OK before then I guess it could be an amp issue, or maybe the volume button on your remote getting stuck down, although from mine that doesn't look likely. Hope you get it sorted.

Steve , Could also be timing check out Logitech forums They have a programming & general section Click , The response to queries is pretty good and you may find the answer on a search

Re the icons - Youy can get any channel logo SKY1 etc. and programme them to you remote under favourites ..See site here Clicky!

Just go into your TV Activity , settings and use the Favourites option. Within there you can setup channel name, number and assign icon you wish. The One allows 4 pages of 6 per page but the 1000 may be different.
