Hi - simple question; is it possible to switch the PS3 on (and off) via the harmony 555, itself via a Logic3 USB dongle? There's no power (PS) button on the logic3 remote - but on the logitech web-site it does seem to have a "powertoggle" and"power off" instruction - but they don't seem to work...

Any ideas?

AFAIK you can't. The only adaptors with power toggle functions for the ps3 are the ir2bt and ir4ps3. Unfortunately the Logitech database is corrupted by users and not every function works. I can highly recommend the ir2bt solution but I think the cheap one is no longer made. Even when Sony updated the firmware rendering these devices useless, ir2bt took it back and updated it for nothing and as far as I know it shouldn't happen again. Tut tut to sony for BT though, totally and utterly pointless use of technology and the power off procedure is the most ludicrously long-winded, over complicated........

You can check out videos of the above two solutions on youtube.

Thanks for your reply - that's kinda what I was expecting...

I have another issue now, though - the Harmony remote works fine in most respects via the Logic3, but for some reason the direction buttons and select don't work (at least not in a DVD menu). It's weird 'cos the Logic3 is fine and the harmony is fine for play/pause, ffwd, rew, skip etc. I have "learnt" the controls from the Logic3 as well as increased the input "strength" to a max of 5, but no joy.

Any advise much appreciated!
