I've had my current TV about 4 years. On the whole it's brilliant but I've had to fiddle with the pic settings quite a bit to counter smearing around objects. Occasionally it can show up some motion issues.

Ive been really keen on the 21:9 sets since seeing the original a couple of years ago.

Im not that interested in 3d, but a little curious to see it in the home setting. I prefer the idea of the passive to shutter type glasses so it would be the Gold.

Ive no doubt watching films will be great, but I am concerned how day to day viewing of 16:9 and even 4:3 might be too much of a compromise.

Has anyone long term experience of these TVs, and what are your feelings ?

Thanks

I think you will find that as with moving from 4:3 to 16:9 TV your eyes will adjust to what you are watching on a 21:9. The only thing i can relate it to for you is it's not a problem at the Cinema when the adverts are on is it. I was hesitant to reply as i do not have the long term experience you asked for. 21:9 is on my radar but i have a kuro so until it stop's working i'm not a changin.
