I've not heard them personally, but what I've read about them, they are very well thought of... guys over on Hi/Fi wigwam seem to think highly of them., might be worth posing the question over there, as people tend to concentrate on more well known brands on WHF.

I tried a pair of Living Voice speakers a couple of years ago; can't remember the model -- they were € 4K-5K a pair. I was really prepared to like them, having read the reviews out there...

Frankly, I couldn't grasp what the fuss was about. They sounded unbalanced and quite boxy. The fact that I demoed them right after a pair of Magnepan 1.7s surely didn't help them. The contrast was huge. I stopped the demo after half a song.

I guess it's a love or loathe thing. If you've got the budget, go for a demo. You'll know soon enough if they float your boat or not.

I think LV are supposed to be a good match with tubes... like Doc says, if able, demo, home preferably.

Indeed, most are very efficient and perform well with low output valve amps. If this is your intention the also check out the WLM La Scala's etc.

Yes. I quite like the Vox Olympians but don't think they would fit in my room. ;-)
