As moving home is out of the question, I got permission from Mrs C to make the most of the living room (which only measures about 4m x 3.5m), to turn it into a home cinema and music listening room.
But the provisos were that the tv must not be permanently in front of the window, and that if we change the seating, then it had to have a sofabed included (as short of spare rooms for roaming troubadours and swamp folk).
So, based on a recommendation here on the forum, I got a tv lift http://www.tv-lifts.co.uk/lifts.asp mount the tv on, so that I could move the tv and av rack in front of the window, and speakers to fire down the room...
Then, got a great projection screen fitted by Kent Home Cinema (a 1.3 gain 2m wide Vutec Lectric 1) (not much chat on this forum about projection screens but this is a beauty - silent motor and great image) ...

So, ended up looking like this with the tv screen down...

The screen is 2metres wide and copes very well with the long throw from the Sony HW15 projector.
