I have a Sky HD connected to a new Samsung 46" 8000 LED TV. I also have an Arcam Solo Music and two R270HD Monitor Audio speakers. I could not fathom how to connect the tv direct to the Arcam Solo so have instead connected the Sky box directly to the Arcam with analogue connections. The sound is good enough but the lip synching is out - any easy solutions. Alternatively are there noticable benefits from connecting the Sky Box to an amp with optical digital cable - will the sound be better and will the lip synch problem be resolved - if so, I assume I may have to trade in the Arcam Solo Music for say the Arcam Solo Movie 2:1 (I will only ever have two speakers). Or are there cheaper alternatives to the Arcam Solo Movie? A lot I know - but any help would be gratefully receieved! Note that I also have a Sonos system, Play Station 3 and Panasonic DVD player all connecting to the tv and to the Arcam Solo. Thank you. Mark

Dear Mark

In relation to your connection the best way to connect your SKY HD box to your amp is via an optical cable. Your current amp wont be able to decode any Dolby Digital sound but this is the best connection. In regards to your your Lip Sync issue there is an option on your Sky HD box that allows you to change the lip sync delay. I have mine set at 140ms and this worsk fine.

Thanks Jack. Looks like I'll be trading in the Solo Music. Any view as to good alternatives? I was considering the Arcam Solo Movie 2:1. Regards, Mark
