Just looking at my options and was wondering if anyone had an opinion on how this all in one system would stack up against similar priced separates in sound quality, say for example

marantz pm 6002 / cd 6002 and tuner

nad 326 amp / 545 cd / and tuner

I have heard the linn is great, but is it as good as a similar priced separates combo

Yes. Do auditon - especially if that's the level of separates you're looking at.

I would also audition the new Cambridge Audio 650/550 series of amps/cds.

Apparently the 'Classik Music' has been a WHF 5 star product since 2001 and can be partnered with Linn Katan speakers costing £750

I think it would give those other options a very hard time!
