Advice please.

I currently have a Pana 46PZ85 attached to my sky HD box.

When I run the sky HD box through my Onk 606, there are no problems with picture. However, I dont really want the Amp turned on all the time so I also run the Sky HD box to the Pana via a seperate Scart. However, when I do this there seems to be a line across the top of the screen, but this only runs across half the screen. It looks like the picture is not big enough for the screen, but I thought that if that was the case the line should be black, but this line is black and white.

Has anyone else had a similar experience, is it a fault with the TV or the Sky box?

When viewing through the freeview channels there is no such issue. This relates to something to do with running the scart from my HD box to the TV. Also did not experience this with my old sky+ box.

Why are you running a scart from a HD box ? Surely this defeats the object ? If the amp works then stick with it. I leave mine on when watching SD with no probs.

You right and this is what I do when I am watching Sky, but the problem lies with the technical incompetance of others in the house!!!!

Yep, it took longer to train my lot than it would to house train a puppy.

Got it working off the 606 remote now and they know to turn the tv on first so that when the cable goes on it switches automatically. The only prob is the PS3 which they (both ladies) are scared of. They can't even recognise the correct remote.

I come home to find my PS3 switched on, on a regular basis. Something to do with cleaning it!

If the lines are right at the very top of the screen through scart then turn on picture overscan in the tv menu.

It does this on my 42PZ85 on some aspect ratios. You don't notice the same effect on crt's as the tv auto zooms in a bit so you don't see the lines. If that makes any sense.
