Hi,
Inflation isn't mentioned in the article. When inflation was in the low digits it wasn't so much an issue but (depending in which figures you use) the inflation rate in the Uk was 9.2% in 2022.
A reader might conclude it was LG that was hiking prices. If LG suffered from an increase cost of parts without receiving an increase in supply, they would have suffered inflation.
Interestingly, the outlier is the 83 inch which is pretty much twice the rate of inflation. I wonder if the fabrication process of 83 inch screens was below the expected rate, which would account for the big price hike.

The trouble is these will all be reduced throughout the year. It seems a game they all play, telly makers...

Launch £2100
3 months on £1850
6 months on £1500
pre-Christmas £1250
January 2024 £1100.

You’d have to be nuts to buy one in the first 6-9 months.

What bothers me is the S95C 77" is listed at $4500 in the US and £5100 here. That's a £1400 uplift just to buy the exact same TV simply because we are in the UK. Absolute BS.
