Letter designators on Samsung TVs - what do they mean?

esp with regard to Samsung Plasmas, what does the letter following the size mean?

eg: PS50A...... PS50B......

what's the difference?

and why are all their LED screens 'B' models?

I have a older Samsung from 2 years ago where the model numbers were desiginated by numbers alone, but since last year this system was replaced with a new one spliting the models into ranges 3,4,5,6,7,8 and 9.

With last year being the first year this was done all models were given a A inbetween the screen size and exact model EG being a Ps-42" A4.. this years model is now PS-42B4.. etc. So any model with a A before the number is last years model and a B the current model.

The reason the models being sold as LED are all B is that they were not avalible last year. Hope that makes sense.
