I've got a PS3 hooked up to my 40" Samsung LED TV via HDMI and I've noticed that there's about a half second delay between input actions on the PS3 controller and it showing on the screen, which is wrecking game play (eg timing golf shots).
What I think is happening is that the TV is buffering the signal, resulting in this lag, but I can't find any setting to adjust this (after a fairly cursory search, I must admit). Is this a characteristic of TV's nowadays (it never used to happen on my cheapie 19" plasma TV connected by the same HDMI cable). Or is there a setting I can tweak?
