Leave your amp on all the time?

Taking the safety and green issues too one side. Why does the sound improve when the amp is left on for longer periods ?

And no its not my ears playing tricks. 🙂

I've never been too sure on this, I accept the argument that leaving your amp on is keeping it constant and stable but I can't help thinking it left on at all times can't be great either. I have a Quad 909 power amp which only has a power switch on the back. I tend to leave it on most of the time but will switch it off if I'm going away for a couple of days or something.

I leave my Supernait on all the time, and will continue to do so...............
