LCD or Plasma ?

Hi all,

I know the LCD vs Plasma debate is an endless one, but I need to decide soon whether to go for the Sony 46X4500 or the Pioneer KRP 500a. Whilst the KRP 500a has some stunning reviews (except for one review!), I haven't come across a single review for the Sony X series. I've checked it out at the local Sony centre & its damn impressive. Needless to say I've seen the KRP 500a on demo & its great too.. Hence my dilemma as to which one to go for !!!!!!

I'll be watching fair amount of SD material as well as lots of sports (not to mention HD films) ! Therefore I certainly wouldn't want any jarring etc & would want to enjoy the best possible PQ. My living room is quite bright (lot of daylight from the windows etc) & given that generally the Plasma screens are not as bright as LCD screens I'm worried whether this will adversely affect the viewing experience if I go for the Plasma.

Any advice much appreciated!!!!

On a different note, is it worth paying extra for the KRP 600a ?

Simply put Pioneer! even tho the Sony is good for a LCD it simply does not compare to the picture of the Pioneer Plaz.

You go with the Sony and you won't be disappointed, i don't think. But if you get the Pioneer, it'll blow your mind, i envy you!!!!!
