Greetings.

Anyone have any suggestions on small wall mounted or ceiling speakers for our new kitchen?

Currently running Monitor Audio BR1s hooked up to a Sonos amp. The speakers are OK but can be boomy at times, even with the bungs in the rear ports. Don't get me wrong I like my bass but only when it's clean!

The kitchen it pretty large so looking to break it up with 2 Sonos zones (2 x 2 speakers).

The speakers need to look pretty discreet, i.e no bigger than 26cm like the BR1s, but sound quality is more important (using Apple Lossless and not MP3).

Like a wide variety of music, esp rock and dance. Any advice kindly appreciated.

Try JBL's little control 1 (I think). Tiny, cheap and they come in either black or white. Sound quite good too, we had em in a coffee bar.

They may be too cheap for you at about £100 but the Q Acoustics 1010i are available with a dedicated adjustable wall bracket and sound very good for the money.

I have 3 pairs - a stereo pair for the upstairs TV/Radio and 2 pairs as the surround speakers in my 7.1 Home Cinema system downstairs.
