last generation pioneer kuro

Has anyone got any experience with the predecessor of the current kuro's, the PDP-5080XD-T 8th gen sets? I know they are not full HD but is that a real problem considering the sets other qualities. They are about £1.5k now.

Their contrast is great, and you can even find them for less than £1.5K so definitely get one.
