Last Chance!!!! (Well For Me Anyway) Please Help

My cash has cleared in the bank. I can now place an order. I have a budget of £750. I want a Surround system, (Blueray to be added soon) to play films and music. I listen to music from my ipod, and a lot from Virgin music on demand, loud.

Given the budget what would you go for, to make a decision you need any more info please let me know.

Gee, thanks for the help chaps, I was going to buy the Onkyo 606 but its seems when measuring my shelf unit it is about 0.5 cm to narrow. it measures 17 cms, any thoughts

Only an old sony 5.1 system. I have just sold a Naim5i with Neat speakers. Never used it. Only really listen to Ipod and Virgin

I guess the sale of the Naim is funding this??

Has the £750 got to fund a receiver, speakers and an iPod connector/dock then??

(You may well be disappointed by the end result though if you have been used to using the Naim/Neat combination)

Hi, just the speakers and AV amp. the ipod dock can follow. I currently have an apple dock. what about a sony strda3400 with Q acoustics speaker system

Should be good. The current receiver champ at this price though is the Yamaha 863 but that is in high demand at the moment.

(So is around £1100 your budget?)

What about the Pioneer LX01, do you know its music capability?

THIS? Well I am unsure how it would be for music really I'm afraid. Be best to try and demo it.
(The Sony and Q Acoustics should be ok though)
