Its distortion has been reduced because the updates to the midrange driver meant Klipsch engineers could let that driver take over some frequencies previously handed by the tweeter, so they dropped the crossover point between the two by 500Hz (from 5kHz on the Heresy III down to 4.5kHz on the Heresy IV).

That doesn't make any sense. The midrange is taking over more frequencies now to achieve less distortion for the tweeter, but they lowered the crossover point? Wouldn't that mean the tweeter is handling more frequencies? Maybe there's something I'm missing. Still, great article.

There is an error in the article:

(from 5kHz on the Heresy III down to 4.5kHz on the Heresy IV)

"Its distortion has been reduced because the updates to the midrange driver meant Klipsch engineers could let that driver take over some frequencies previously handed by the tweeter "

It is the opposite. The tweeter is handling increase range, the squawker stops at 4.5KHz.
