Killer Floor Standing Speakers under $4000 for Rock??

polling all ears (subjective I suppose) but would like to hear you people who have heard fairly high end speaker that kick ass in clarity for mostly Rock/ Fusion Jazz at high volumes with killer clean power .
I currently have a :Marantz PM-11S1 Integrated amp SVS SB-1000 Sub NHT 2.3 TowersTechnics SL15 Klipsch/Paradigm/Infinity/B&W/Dynaudio/PSB ???

ATC scm40 are highly rated and will rock with the best, given the right amp. However, their cost is probably just over your $4000 limit (I own smaller scm11 bookshelf speakers and they sound very good with rock music at any volume). ATC also have a pedigree in professional circles (studios, producers etc).

PMC Twenty5 23's ought to do it for you. Tight as a banjo string all the way down to 28Hz and mighty loud without distorting.

Regardless of what we say, do try and listen to as many pairs as possible before taking the plunge... At home if you are at all able.

For my 2c, KEF R700 at £2k in the UK are awesome for the money - with the R500 at £500 less being enough for a smaller room...

Are you based in the States, tommy? Just thinking that might be the case, with your budget being $4000?

German CANTON "Vento" (ceramic tweeter) or a bit cheaper new Chrono SL series... (I recommend them 3 way, at least 3 woofers). Quite (if not very ) good speakers. I know them so full recommendation.
