Hi Guys,

I am currently in the process of building a new 5.1 system and have currently purchased Kef R300 for the fronts and the rears, Anthem MRX 500 amp and an SVS PC12nsd sub.

I was wondering what is the best way to go on the front centre. Would I be best with R200C, R300 on its side or R600C?

I'm guessing the 600 would be the most powerful but would 1 R300 be better tonally?

I can get a used 600c and pair of R300 for about the same price just wondering which would sound the best.

Also, the wife is not happy with the PC12nsd in the lounge so that is going in my second room where it is currently hooked up with a pair of ELipson planet L's and I was wondering whether to go the new SB200 or is it worth goinng all out for the SB13 ultra. Does anyone have any experience with these 2 models?

Thanks

Check the driver sizes on the KEF website. The R300 actually has a larger bass driver than the R500 floorstander. The R600C is the one that is matched driver-size-wise to the R300. The R200c would be better suited to the smaller R500.

My system has identical drivers across all speakers even though three different cabinet sizes are used. They all voice-match perfectly. Personally for aesthetic reasons, I'd go for the R600c - providing you have sufficient room for it. It is a rather hefty beast!

Thanks, I was kinda leaning towards the 600c and am having a cabinet made which can house the beast Just needed confirmation before pulling the trigger!
