Hi

So I have just bought a pair of KEF Q15 on ebay, was wondering if anyone has or has had a pair and what their thoughts are on them?

Hi lejockey

Q15's are a little lean in the bass although overall are good speakers :)

What source component/s, amplifier and cables will you use with them?

What speakers are you replacing Q15's with?

All the best

Hi Rick,

same question from my side.

I own classic KEF Q5 floorstanders.

I'm tempted and wondering if the MA BX2 would be an upgrade?

thnx.

Had Q15's as part of my first serious HiFi (with Arcam Alpha 7 CD and Amp) back in the late 90's. I found them to err on the side of brightness but bi-wiring improved this. I found them to be well built speakers that were very good most of the time. I gave them to my son about a year ago - he uses them with the same amp and a Marantz CD48 and this particuler set up the sound is significantly better than when I used the speakers. Absolutely no brightness in fact a warm full bassy sound is how I would describe them now. Hope you enjoy them.

Hi Musicraft

I will be using them with a music fidelity B1 amp. They are replacing a pair of Aura SP-50's I had to sell due to a tightening of the financial belt ;) I run them as monitor speakers for a small home studio.
