KEF KHT3005SE and KHT2005.3

Hi,

I'm looking to upgrade my home cinema and was interested in two sets of KEF speakers - the KHT3005SE and KHT2005.3 depending on how far my budget will stretch - as they have got great reviews, look good and are fairly small in stature. As I am something of a ludite when it comes to such matters, can someone please advise on what is a good reviever to match up with these speakers? I'm looking to spend in the region of £500 although there is some flexibilty for the right kit.

Again, take a look at this month's WHF issue - there is a group test on multichannel receivers in the £450 to £550 price bracket.

I would opt for the 2005.3 and push the budget on the amp a little. The 3005s are great but really come to life with the amps around £1000 plus. The 2005s will work very well in a medium sized room and you could match with a Yamaha RXV1065 for good results.
