KEF 5005.2 with K2 sub- £799- what is the opinion of the forum and staff ??

Folks,

I posted a few days ago about looking for some budget speakers but have since come accross the KEF 5005.2's with the new K2 sub on offer at £799. Now i had looked at these speakers a while ago, and although packaged with the HB2 sub at the time were £1200. This price drop is really catching my attention and i love the look of them (has to be a style speaker package due to room aesthetics).

Would be interested to think what others thought and how they compared to say the 3005se edition based on a price of £850.

What would represent the better buy ??

Certainly from demoing the 5005 satellites are more detailed and musical than the 3005SE ones.

The HB2 sub made a lot of noise in films but seemed too slow to do bass justice in music. Not sure how the K2 compares or if you'll be using these speakers for music.

I'd have a look out for the Arena if there are any left. Better speakers and even more of a price drop.
