Kef 3005SE or Q Acoustics 1010i 5.1

I looking at the Yamaha 763 and was wondering, which speakers sound better, i know that there is a big price difference and they are in different categories but on pure sound quality, which sounds better?

It'd be a close-run thing - despite the price difference - because traditional speaker packages offer more for the money. The KEFs would win out as movie performers, but I reckon the Qs would push them hard on music.

Move up to something like the Tannoy Mercury Custom F1 5.1 package, though (@£750) and you'd take the KEFs. And for around the same money as the KEFs, the B&W 685 Theatre package is in a different league again.
