Kef 3005SE / 5005.2??

I can get either for £1000... so which is the better pick at this pricepoint?

Between the two, I would opt for the KEF3005SE - if it had to be a KEF system.

Personally, for slightly more, I would go for the Monitor Audio Radius R90 HD10 system instead.

Thanks, but the Monitor Audio aren't really lifestyle speakers in the same sense as the Kef's... I'd like something sleek to be honest!

Disagree - they may be square, but they're very gorgeous in the flesh (and no bigger than KEFs really).

Hmm ok but I still prefer the style of the Kef's - really want to stay away from boxy designs to be honest!

So, the 3005SE-w @ £999.95 or the 5005.2 @ £1,040?

Pricepoint the 5005.2 are the best price imho i like the sleek elegant cyclinder shape speakers, and they do look fantastic mounted either side of the Pioneer 5090. Sound wise to me they offer a better soundstage and good crisp dialog and at the same price i would opt for them especially for wall mounting.The Kef 3005se have been the better seller due to earlier pricing of £300 or more pounds cheaper and wider coverage due to the amount of awrds it picked following on from the success of the 2005.2.Go and audition to make your final choice and what amp are you looking at.

I would go with the B&W MT25 package

Much more sexy, and better with music and movie soundtracks (in my opinion)

Definitely 5005 from the demoing I did.

Much better detail and improved musicality to my ears over the 3005. The sub ultimately lets both packages down for music.

The 5005 with the PV1 sub was a great style setup for films and music. In my opinion not as good as the Tannoy Arena though, so if they're sleek enough for you and you can still find them well worth a listen.

Tannoy Arena are a bit too expensive. The MT-25's would annoy me as would always want the PV-1!!

So we're saying at the same price, the 5005's are definately the better choice? How does the Kube 2 compare to the HTB2SE? Is it much worse?
