KEF 3005 vs B&W MT-25 with 685 as front pair

Hi,

Am tossing between the two winners.

Option 1: KEF 3005 with a Pioneer 920 amp; or

Option 2: B&W685 + M1 (3 pieces) and ASW608 with a Yamaha 457 amp.

Prices are not far off but the B&W has a 5 year warranty vs KEF of 2 years.

Any inputs before I make a decision?

Any speaker package that comes as a complete 5.1 system does so simply because it is designed and manufactured to compliment each other perfectly this way.

The reason why the B&W 685 Theatre is such a fabulous system is a case in point.

I'd put the HTM62 centre speaker with the 685 fronts - the M1s will work fine as rears, but the one you're intending to use as the centre won't blend well with the 685s. It's a bit more money, but will be worth it.
