Just ordered a Samsung UE65KU6400

I was looking for a mid range 65-inch TV for my family area for occasional watching when in kitchen / family area. My workplace has a salary sacrifice scheme which lists KS9000 as well as KU6400. Since it's not my main TV, I didn't see any point in spending more. Besides, the family area is currently served by another Samsung 6 series 32-inch TV and I'm happy with the picture quality.

It comes to about £1468 after savings with a 3 year warranty which isn't bad at all (besides not having to pay a lump sum amount). Should be delivered by mid September.

Is that a 4K TV? Just had a look - yes. How many nits is that? Are you going to get a 4K Blu Ray player?

Set the TV up yesterday. Still on out of the box settings. Initial impressions are very good. Great screen uniformity and good colours with decent blacks. It looks amazing too, the bottom grey bezel and remaining black bezel matches perfectly with my Playbar!

Freeview HD channels I've tested so far (BBC One, BBC Two and 4Seven) are superb, almost indistinguishable from Amazon Prime 4K. This Samsung upscales very well I must say. Even SD channels are more than acceptable.

Once I've calibrated using Spears and Munsil calibration disc, I'll post a review, probably in a week or two.
