just got the ortofon2m red

very pleased 3 records played solid, surface nosie while playing very low and really felt a warmth that i had not heard from my set-up before. a friend set it up for me but i would say that it came arcoss straight forward. tracking weight was 1.8g and thats what i did and no need to play around. i think that on the genie it has been a good improvement but i cant see any reason to spend more on this deck.

There's very little to beat the 2M Red at it's price point. To get better you would have to spend a whole lot more and even then I doubt the differences would be major. A wonderful budget cartridge that has helped a lot of prople to enjoy vinyl again.
