Explain all your connections, post some pictures.
Cheers BB, afraid I can't take pictures of the amp it's too close to the wall. Has something like 4 HDMI inputs though and one other for something. The Blu-Ray player has two HDMI inputs one main and one sub. TV has 4 HDMI inputs. I have put Sky on HDMI 2 now for the TV.
Any ideas BB?

It is difficult to comment on this, as what you're saying isn't precise.

Ensure these connections:

1) HDMI cable from blu ray player to HDMI input of the Pioneer LX82.

2) HDMI cable from HDMI output of the AVR to TV.

3) Select the right HDMI input of your AVR where the player is connected.

4) Select the right HDMI input in your TV in settings.

5) Ensure all speakers are connected properly to the right terminals.

If still doesn't work, call Nick for further advice, and also ask him about returning it.

I got it working! Cheers BB.

It was quite a significant oversight for you to "forget" to mention in post #20 that it was the old receiver you were using. BB and I and everyone else assumed that it was the recent second-hand purchase that you were having trouble with, rather than your established receiver which one would have assumed that you knew to operate. I mean, do you enjoy wasting other people's time asking them basic questions? How can someone buy all your stuff and not know how it all connects, or how to get an individual item working? I also have a fair bit of stuff now, including the two most recent and biggest televisions, but all of it just works, it's never been necessary for me to ask this or any other forum how things work. And I would have thought, since you are at least 25 younger than I, that you would have been more technologically on the ball than I am ......

Again, I haven't got a clue what you are on about...

Did you actually read my post #31 before needlessly quoting it back to me in your post #32? Post #31 is abundantly clear, I explained everything, and I'm positive that anyone else reading it will understand. Just in case you don't know about the post numbers, you can see that every posting in a thread is given a number in the top-right corner of the entry. This one, for instance, is number 33.
