Have been toying with the idea of moving up to a 7.1 from 5.1 after the latest addition of a Sony BD player. I currently run an all Mission speaker set up using M33i's at the front with corresponding centre and a pair of Mission D77S rears. Don't have a massive listening area (5x4m) and was thinking of buying a couple of the Mission Cubes to supplement. Would this be a wise move?? If not the what other options do I have?

I think the m cubes have a limited frequency response and only work well in an all m cube system have a look at these http://www.superfi.co.uk/index.cfm/page/moreinfo.cfm/Product_ID/4006

Personally I wouldn't do it unless your thinking of replacing the whole speaker package. The 77DS 's do a good job of dispersing the rear effects and adding a non-matching speaker will probably ruin the effect. I've heard a few systems set-up like this and none of them have worked well.

I'm not saying it's impossible, but you will be really lucky to find something that works well.

EDIT: That said. Maybe sell your 77ds's and buy two pairs of these http://www.laserlinehifi.co.uk/product_info.php/cPath/3562/products_id/64098 so you have a matching system. In fact as these are mission speakers of a very similar design to the 77ds's they MIGHT integrate sonically and visually)! Buy them soon though if you're going to do it as they are discontinued! And make sure you can sent them back if they don't work.
