Bought JRiver software because I thought it sounded better than Foobar2000. It cost me £35.

I bring this thought up, for all the non-believers that think digital is digital and that all media players sound the same, I don't think they do. This has a better sound, less digital more analogue would best describe it.

I have however left settings default. Because it sounds best that way.

Small update for those interested.

In the Audio Device settings I have chosen 'My DAC' [Direct Sound], rather than the default device.

Sounds proper to me.

Sounded best set to default and then a change and it was better? Maybe a likkul bit of expectation bias? I have that for breakfast. 🙂
