john lewis/richer sounds/general extended guarantees

Hi im will be soon plunging into the LCD market and am worried about certain things, dead pixels, clouding and light bleeding to name but a few so my question is simply this

If i buy from say john lewis or richer sounds and get their extended guarantee what does it actually cover?

i know that the dead pixel one is withing manufacturers limits but about clouding and bleeding who decides whether its excessive or not to get the screen replaced,fixed?

if i phone up and say that clouding is really bad are they obliged to replace it, or does it depend on how they see it?

As previously stated, John Lewis offered to replace my cloudy LCD without too much hassle. The one they brought to replace it was worse, but that's by the by.

yes i remember you saying your experience with john lewis was great, the only problem is john lewis dont do the specific model of tv that i want!

but if all gurantees are similar to john lewis then i will be happy

thanks andy, i think that may be the way to proceed with all the retailers that are offering a guarantee
