Can see all the fuss with 3D its not like everyone going to suddenly sell there pioneer kuro or sony bravia tv's and spend a few grand AGAIN just for 3d not forgetting us home cinema buffs who want nothing but the best that we also will need a new 3d blu ray player a 3d receiver a pair of 3d glasses then sky hd full subsciption to watch it not that we are going to get 3d in freeview or by the terrestial channels ever ..add all this and you probably need 4000 + pounds ..really how many people are going to spend that kind of money now with petrol prices on the rise and the recession then not forgetting the blu ray dvds which probably will be expensive ..its just too much and with most people having 3 -5 members in there family that again pushes the price for the 3d glasses up ....i rather spend 10 pounds and go to the cinema.

Hopefully something will accidentally fall on the master copy (petrol with any luck) and spontaneously combust and do us all a favour.

The Film is Horrible, Cannot believe how it did 1,800,000,000$ in box office take, there is nothing really special, epic, or unforgetable about this, film wouldn't spend a pound to rent it, surely not 30or more to buy it in 3D. I like Action movies, and I did like avatar, but Titanic is another thing, why would anyone want to see a 3D love story what would be exciting about that.............

I have managed to successfully avoid the 2d version and intend to do the same with the 3d version. Silk purses and Sow's ears spring to mind

Whilst I can see the iceberg making it to 3D, it's hard to imagine the characters being as successful.......

I was poor in 2d, so how is 3d going to help it! Apart from getting the girls down to the cinema to see it and fleece them of their cash..

Mmmm sounds like he knows what he is doing!

(Slightly OT, but I couldn't help it)

Maybe he'll be collaborating with George Romero to produce the Titanic in 3D with Zombies for maximum revenue generation:

(OK so they're skeletons, I know. BTW this is a real Amazon product: click)

roger06:Surely the point here is that 2012 will be the hundred year anniversary?

Indeed it is and the best tribute Mr. Cameron could make is to not release another Titanic film, though I'm sure someone else will if he doesn't.

There are those who think the best tribute would be to take all the masters of the 1997 version and throw them into the Atlantic where the Titanic sank...

Perhaps he could organise another expedition to go down to the wreck and lovingly place all the prints of the film down there, as a touching tribute.

No doubt making a whole series of Discovery Channel documentaries while he's there...
