ITV1 on Freeview

Over the last few days we have had real difficulty getting ITV1 on our Humax PVR - and now its C4 too. The signal is constantly breaking up - the picture keeps breaking - and the sound is crackling lots (the picture even goes black for a while)

I have retuned the box a number of times - but it dont help

We are picking up from Crystal Palace

Any suggestions please

The following site...Click Here tells me that the signal for these channels is on low

Would a signal amp be a good thing for me to get - and what would you recommend?

If the signal is low, an amplifier may help, but there's no guarantee it will. Best to consult a local aerial installer, who should have knowledge of reception conditions in your area.

Thanks Andrew - your comments led me to examine the aerial cable - and I found a short in the aerial extention lead - which I sorted - now the picture is back to good
