Fred I wouldn't bother upgrading to be honest. There's nothing about it which I can honestly say will enhance your experience.

Major: I'm still thinking about replacing the 'music sever' Win 7 with a mac mini - only ever used Windows, so a bit nervous!! - could be I just need to have a tinker, but if you say not much in sonic performance....hmmm!

Why not save an earlier installation file to another folder or USB stick and then upgrade. If you don't like what you see/hear, then switch back?

Overdose: That's not a bad idea - I have itunes 10.7 on my 'portable' laptop and I was thinking of trying itunes 11 on the 'music sever' laptop.
