A Anonymous Guest Nov 11, 2008 #2 Spikes can not, do not and never will isolate. As to which you should choose would depend upon the surface upon which the turntable is sat and the manufacturers ethos for its handling of vibration to, from and within the turntable. Russell

Sorry - was using the term that's used as a product description rather than what they actually do. Spikes couple things together don't they?? I suppose I'm asking should i be trying to isolate the turntable from the rest of the room, or couple it it what it's placed on? is that right?
