Soon after buying my amp last year I was very disappointed to find out the amp HMDI socket are only switchers and it does not deal with HD audio via HMDI. I have ordered the Panasonic DMP-BD55 Blue-Ray which will come mid next month.
Is there a notable difference between HD sound through coaxial or HMDI, is worth changing the amp for this reason?
System: Sony KDL 40W2000 TV, Sony DA1200ES Amp, Sony DVD recorder HX825, Monitor Radius R270 AV12 Speaker package, QED HMDI-P amp – TV and DVD recorder to AMP, QED Performance Digital Coaxial recorder to amp, QED silver Anniversary XT speaker cables, QED Qontour MP-SW Sub cable. Ordered Panasonic DMP-BD55
