Question Is the LG C4 my best option?

Hi all. Been out of the TV and home cinema game for a long time and was looking for some guidance on a new TV.

I currently have a 42inch 'HD-Ready' Panasonic TV which I bought almost 20 years ago. I only mention this to make you smile! Can't knock the reliability though - not a single issue in all that time.

I've done some brief digging and it looks like the LG C4 is still available here and there for a reduced price and almost everything I read about it is positive. I think I can go to 65inch based on space and viewing distance of just under 3m.

99% of my content will be 1080p streamed from my Plex server via NVidia Shield.

Budget circa £1,500 but a bit flexible

Is the C4 still a great option?
Is this TV size / viewing distance good for upscaled 1080p?
Which other TV options should I be considering?

Thanks for any comments

There is the C5 which has incremental improvements over its predecessor but at a premium price.

I have LG C4 65" about a year now and it was my first Oled TV, it replaced my Panasonic 50" Qled and I was blown over by the picture quality. Better saturation, more realism with colours.
I got a pretty good deal from AO and the delivery was pretty quick.
There are other players on the market and worth checking on those before you make your final decision.

I have mine wall mounted 😊

We bought a C4 some 7 months ago and I can certainly recommend it. It's plenty bright enough for daytime viewing in a bright'ish room too.

It may not be as technicolour as Samsung but everything looks ultra realistic which I prefer. Looks classy too.

One downside, LG's remote which is not a patch on the metal one I had with the previous Samsung.

We've looked at every option at JohnLewis, including the G4, Sony's, Samsung's etc but got an amazing deal on the outgoing C4 which we couldn't refuse. Glad we got it.
