is sony str 820dg a good pair with Jamo A102HCS5 5.1 Speaker Pack

One you need to have a listen to first I think. I've heard from some that they think the two work together well, whereas others have found the system too forward and bright, and thus tiring after a while.

We normally pair up the Onkyo SR507 with the Jamo's as it really works as a combo. As professorhat mentions the Sony may be a little bright with the Jamos. If your room is not too big you should be ok.

I agree. The JAMO A102 worked better with my Onkyo than it did with the Sony when I initially heard it on a demo, where I found it to be relatively bright over extended listening.

I used to have the Jamo's driven by the Sony 1200es (my lounge is 18ft x 12ft), no bright issues for me. I would imagine that the 1200es is a better receiver than the 820 but not by much.

Ive just looked and my av receiver spec says to pair with 80hm speakers but, the Jamo's are 6ohm would this matter and if so what would be the impact?
