Guys, I have just set up my Nad T751 with my new MT-30 speaker package. I firstly connected the speakers which seem to work fine. I then went on to connect the PV-1 sub to which i was totally disappointed. The green light came on at first, I then paused the Sky program as i had to take a call at which point the green light understandably changed to red. I then continued to watch the program and that was when my hear sank! The light stayed on red and for fear of doing something wrong I turned it all off..............

Do you guys think i really really really need to change the amplifier NOW or have I just done something wrong? Your thoughts and advice would be most welcome.

so, if i get this right you are having probs with the sub?

is it connected to the output and not the input? the Amp does not actually drive the sub (as it has a built in amp) and any amp will work with it.

Or is this red/green light you mention on the AMP?

The sub is connected to the input and the red and green light is on the sub.

The first sub was dead when I got it and i'll hate to think that there is something wrong with the new replacement.

Would the fact that i was watching just a normal channel on Sky make a difference? Should I have persevered and hooked up my PS3 to see what the outcome is?

well that might be your problem.

you need to connect to the Sub Output on the amp.

Damn! My instructions state that the cable should be connected to 'Line in' on the sub.

Please take a look at this diagram in the manual on page 4

maybe but which connection have you connected it to on the AMP as there are 2 connections and the fact that this is your second Sub that you seem to be having problems with would, to me, make me wonder ....

What nads said.

You need to make sure the sub is connected to the subwoofer pre-out on the amp. You can also set the sub to be permanently on while you check it's working and set it back to auto when you're done....
