Is Hi-Fi really better than pro audio?

Hi Chunky70 do you know what the power output would be into a 4ohm load if used as monoblocks?

Behringer says that the impedance of the speaker into which the amp is used in bridged mono mode should be 'at least 8ohms'

james_LR90, are your speakers 4ohm ?. If they are ,biamping with the a500 's is always an option.

Yes they are 4ohm. That is an option but would really have to listen to them with my speakers to see if I was happy with the sound as reviews of most pro audio amps being used in home audio are hard to find.
