Slightly longer answer, no, not with THAT blu-ray player but there are some on the market now that can access the iPlayer.

I just can't remember which ones they are. Hey, I did say it was only a slightly longer answer...

Err, if you've heard a rumour that the Wii supports the iPlayer why don't you try it and find out? It certainly should work, otherwise you're looking at a new blu-ray player, unless that LG one you've got there can do it, but I couldn't tell you that.

You can indeed get iPlayer through the Wii if it's hooked into the internet. From Nintendo's website:

To use the new BBC iPlayer on Nintendo's Wii, Wii users should download the BBC iPlayer Wii Channel from the menu screen of Wii Shop Channel. Once downloaded, users simply click on the BBC iPlayer icon to launch the new full screen service, then select and play their favourite BBC TV or radio programme that they want to watch.

iPlayer via the Wii is very easy to use. The picture is full screen, but rather soft with washed-out colours. However, the kids happily use it to catch up with some of their stuff.
